WALSAIP research is contributing to further insights into sensors/effectors technology, communications and networking technology, and computational  and distributed information processing technology through concepts, methods, and techniques to improve our seamless understanding and interaction with our physical world or sensory reality.  For instance, better tools are needed for the tasks of storage, manipulation, representation, visualization, and rendering when dealing with very large amounts of signal-based information content.
